I did not even know there was a time when stamps were sold in decimals of a cent. I suppose that also means the post office charged by decimals of a cent for some things?
I'm honestly not sure how they did decimal cents in the old days. maybe they rounded up? iirc when Canada phased out the penny, they just started rounding to the next 0.05
yes, all cash transactions are rounded to the nearest 5 cents. credit/debit/etc are all still exact
