I'm new to this, I'll get better! My plans for this are not to spend loads of time talking about the plot but just to go over my gameplay choices, like what pins and clothes I'm using. But day 2 just gave me the basic pins, so I'm levelling all of them up, which isn't very exciting.
In the photos above are the statue of Hachiko and the Moyai, which are the two statues from today's mission. I think it's really cool how The World Ends With You uses the real city of Shibuya as its setting, and one day I might make a post about Amnesia by Thomas M. Ditsch, but that is not today. While getting the photos for this post I found out that Hachiko was stuffed and is on display? Wild.
I'm playing the mobile version (Solo Remix) and so out of all of the pins, Force Rounds and Thunderbolt are useful because they can be activated with a tap, like Shiki. I don't really know how the other versions control, since I haven't played them. The DS version sounds much more complicated! As for the other pins, Cure Drink is healing, which is obviously useful. Shockwave deals positive (physical) damage and Psychokinesis deals neutral damage. Some enemies have resistances to certain types of damage but these pins will be way outclassed by the time that begins to matter.
So yeah, there was nothing really interesting going on today. I can't do any shopping yet, and there was only really one area with anything going on. Just lots of talking. Tomorrow should be a lot more interesting. I did get both of the pig noise though. 😎 That didn't happen on my first playthrough!
Oh hachiko, if only I could polish away the wear on your heart...
