WHAT is hypertext poetry? i need you to explain it to me right now because it sounds cool. I'll read the links you sent when im not in the middle of a school lesson

it's a subcategory of digital poetry that makes heavy use of hyperlinks. has stuff like words transforming into other words when you click them, sections that nest inside of one another, sections leading to other sections and often circling back, in-line notes that show up when you click or hover. I have a resource list for digital poetry (mostly gamepoetry and hypertext stuff) if you want reading recs, lemme it track down

yeah everest makes a bunch of cool stuff in or around this vein! here's some digital poetry and hypertext stuff. I'll probably end up writing a better-structured informative post w all this, but here ya go:
an Introduction to Hyperpoetry

This hypertext poem, Penetration, by Robert Kendall

This hypertext...ezine?

"To Be Here As Stone Is" by MD Coverley and Stephanie Strickland (and other work by Stephanie Strickland)

This generator that picks lines from Tyehimba Jess's "McKoy Twins Syncopated Star" to create a sonnet

The rest of Lillian Yvonne-Bertram's work (most recently, Travesty Generator)

A collection of e-literature. No specific recs within, but I've had fun randomly clicking through
