I've identified the reason that my photos often come out muddy is that this tablet camera either needs a lot of light, more than is present in my room at any time of day, or needs the flash on. I don't like the flash so I will look into getting a bright lamp.
In the meantime, I'll try some solo photos of Arata (my OC Lily and the redhead here, though she isn't always a redhead) with it on.
I'll edit this post if/when I take them. If it's during 2022, anyway.
