In the Next Big Thing, you have to skill your character by assigning 10 points to the skills of your choice. It seemed to work fine, except that it turns out that you could actually render the game unable to progress if you saved and loaded during this skill assignment screen.
As the game is multiplayer, the game state is loaded from the save file by the internal server, which then synchronizes with the client. This was all good and dandy, except that the number of remaining skill points would actually fail to synchronize after loading the game.
So, yeah, it's no good if the client gives you 0 skill points to assign despite the server waiting for you to assign 10 points before letting your continue. π
