I have no references or personal design knowledge relating to designing skunk OCs BUT from seeing a fair share of skunky folks talk about it in my time there is something that they all seem to hold as important; a big feckin tail. Search for something like "furry skunk tail" or "fursona skunk tail" in relation to design and you might find some pointers about that specific part of it at the very least.
