@rachelmae

hi folks!! i'm rachel, a fennec fox/red panda currently living in the seattle area. my pronouns are she/her. nice to meet you!!

i've been around the internet A While and have/had my fingers in a variety of pies, most notably:

  • The Cutting Room Floor: wiki documenting unused and hidden stuff in video games. originally a tiny little section of my old personal site, my roommate @xkeeper turned it into a wiki in late 2009 and things have been kinda bonkers ever since.
  • Lost Levels: way back in 2003, me, Frank Cifaldi, and a handful of other video game preservationist types decided to make a website dedicated to unearthing unreleased video games and making them available for everyone to enjoy. the site has been dormant for many years, but its spirit lives on.

places you can currently find me:

  • Twitch: i play video games and sometimes ramble about nerdy shit on wednesdays and sundays. come say hi and bully my avatar! it's ok, she doesn't mind (too much).
  • Rachel's Website: my personal website. as of this writing, there's not much there, but i plan to migrate stuff from my older site in the near future.
  • Bluesky: hi i'm new here. gonna give this a try and see if it scratches the ol' twitter itch.
  • Mastodon: i'm also here, though i don't post much because the fediverse gives me kinda stinky vibes.
  • Twitter: don't go here. i mostly use this to announce streams and stream-related updates. ☣️ THIS IS STRICTLY AN ARCHIVE. STOP USING TWITTER FFS ☣️
  • cohost: YOU WERE HERE

hi!!!

first, i absolutely adore your style and especially that shirt but it’s all awesome!!

second, a couple weeks ago i was watching a “Star Citizen Live” where one of the devs brought onto the show probably the last remaining copy of a complete yet cancelled 2002 E.T. game called E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial: The Search for Dragora. Here is the link to the correct spot in the show (52m40s if the time doesn’t work). But it’s been rattling in my brain as i don’t know many game archivists besides watching lost media youtube videos so i thought i’d see if you knew anyone who would be interested in reaching out to the dev in question.
