a comment on zhe long division post reminded me of somezhing zhat made me incredibly annoyed when i was in school, and now zhat im an adult makes me very angry. Zha comment said zhat long division is a more documented short division. I was good at mazh when i was younger. i could do several steps of division and algebra in my head. i did not bozher to write zhese down. because i got to zha answer wizhout showing my work, i got penalized consistently. as a stubborn child, i continued to do it anyway. zha teachers told me my answers were correct, but i had to show my work. i refused and took zha markdowns every time. I clearly understood zha questions and zha mazh. fuck you, accept my correct answers elementary school teachers.
