That photo was taken at Open Sauce, and I forgot to photograph the item in the box, which was a fast 3D printer prototype which was tested on the ISS for making spares and new widgets (which is absolutely a killer app for 3D printing.)
3D printing is a major plot point in Kim Stanley Robinson's Aurora.
i've got one of those stickers on my laptop because a dude at the collectors show had whole stacks of em. in two sizes, even!
so my laptops aren't flight hardware but i can play with big kid toys (labels) if i wanna
but that's a cool legitimate instance of space doodad that has earned its sticker!!!
