What kinda noises do you think Pokemon would make it they were like, real animals, and not originally from a video game where to approximate the noise an animal would make, they made the Gameboy's sound chip shit itself in agony

I think instead of a weird chirping scream, Dragonair would make no noises with its mouth, but instead would shake its tail when happy, which would cause the orbs to produce wind chime effects.

Some of the newer 'mons cries sound really fitting and natural. But it's clear how the sound design has evolved (heh) over each generation.

I feel like with some of the imposing old-gen psychic types you wouldn't "hear", traditionally. It'd be like a sort of non-harmful "pressure wave" you feel mentally, like sound waves you can only perceive in a way you can't quite describe. Alakazam or Mewtwo gives off a glare and you can instantly just understand what they're thinking, or at least what they want you to understand.
