It's pretty funny how I posted this, went immediately to sleep, and then the very next thing I wrote on any form of social media was this somber, angry thread on Twitter reflecting on consent-manufacturing doublethink in service of colonialist violence as someone who was a teen for the beginnings of Afghanistan and Iraq.
