As of yesterday, workers at the UCLA, UC Davis, UC Santa Cruz, UC San Diego, and now UC Irvine campuses are on strike over the UC system's unfair labor practices (see here for more info). Efforts to quash the strike in a court of law are ongoing from the University of California but, thus far, have been rejected by PERB--most recently on Tuesday when they opposed an injunction against the strike and reiterated their opinion that the UC system engaged in numerous serious unfair labor practices. PERB has also required UC meet with UAW Local 4811 to mediate, although the next date for that is currently to be determined.
