Blindly reposting this. I dont think I have a legal leg to stand on because I quit patreon willfully but the horseshit is a big part of WHY I quit.
People are noting it's not just for creator, there is apparently even an option for people saying they just consume NSFW content and are sick of this shit.
"fuck patreon" tag... I'm not surprised; Patreon has removed Goals feature by denying it as unnecessary and useless, missing the point of said feature: tracking the progress for financial goals.
The site's staff is known to ocassionally mistreat the artists and animators over content that doesn't even hurt anything real-life, even adult art (remember Eigaka and Slugbox cases?), and the customer service is getting worse, with increasingly insufferable time constraints and unfair bans over off-site behaviour. God, I really hope MasterCard Patreon will be held accoutnable to this whole mess.
P.S. Patreon is currently blocked in Russian Federarion (my home country) since 2022, which is understantable considering the site's anti-Russian settlements, which is actually really bad.
