furries, PLEASE, can we get enough people together to put pressure on cons to enforce COVID safety requirements such as vaccines and testing? COVID is destroying peoples' lives and y'all seem to be just OK with it. how many disabled furries are getting excluded because of this??
This, yeah. While enforcement was ehhhhhhh in 2024, ANE has the right idea by requiring masks in con space as well as proof of vaccination.
However, given that vaccine access is incredibly hit-or-miss internationally, and seeing as vaccines aren't fantastic at preventing transmission, cons need to me doing more when it comes to masks and especially ventilation/filtration.
Cons could be a lot safer for medically vulnerable people, both when it comes to COVID-19 specifically and airborne illnesses generally, and getting as many people as possible wearing adequate masks probably has the best cost/benefit in terms of measures that could be taken.
