I have phone bills, internet bills, and, well, I'm still having the likes of my taxes to pay back and a variety of other obligations and needs.

Not to mention, my...last Cohost Plus payment.

I know the site's going down soon, and I still need to get ready for that, and get cracking on setting up a new place to lead people to, but I could really use some help to take care of other external things that are still clinging to me this month.

This place has always been a huge help, if only to just know that people are sharing and helping out however they can, and I always appreciated and enjoyed that about it.

I could use anywhere around $150 to $500 to help take care of things, but even a few bucks makes for a great help by itself, too.

I really appreciate everything y'all can do, and has done here. I'm gonna miss this place.

this site has had its ups and downs, and naturally i'm going to miss it, but tbh these past few days i've been kinda sitting paralyzed at the thought of without a platform with a reliable mutual aid network, the threat of things going from manageable to catastrophic for me looms closer than ever. and considering yesterday i had a scare with my card declining... yeah i've been on edge lately.
i know times are tough for everyone, and i don't want to accept money someone doesn't have/can't afford to give, but this place and everyone's kindness and generosity has helped keep my head above water more than a few times now. i guess i don't have anything else to say other than, thanks for reaching, thanks for sharing, and thank you for having a pretty good time here with me 💜💜💜

I think one thing people who are trying to create a cohost forum or various discord servers need to keep in mind is, a big part of this site's failure was due to the inability to attract and protect non-white users.

If you are jumping into making a site without considering how you are going to handle moderation and how that moderation is going to protect non-white users, it is going to either fail or turn into the most toxic cesspool imaginable.

Shit like this is why for the most part, I don't bother with most discord servers anyone. Godspeed to those of you who try tho.
