We're still struggling financially because our roommate has not been able to get a job for almost two years now, I'm disabled with a back injury and the only jobs I can do aren't hiring part time, and my spouse is taking all the financial burden, which is crushing their mental health. Pretty soon we may have to use up our savings to pay our roommate's portion of the rent, and that won't last too long.
I know plenty of people are in more dire situations, but if we can't figure something out, we'll be in that boat shortly. If y'all can help at all, that would be greatly appreciated.
Roughly 4 months ago, someone stole my recumbent e-trike, having cut the lock. The damn thing was expensive, and the insurance money has unfortunately had to go towards bills and cost of living. I'm not in any danger of being unable to afford to live, yet, but in my unemployed, no-income state, I will not be able to save up to replace my ticket to the world (which, for the same specs as the one that was stolen, would run me about $5,000 USD). So I'm turning to crowdfunding.
I'd like to not feel like I'm stuck in this house. I'd love to not have to beg for rides whenever I want to do anything more than a mile away. I feel so bad for asking for help with something like this when so many others on this website need money just to survive. But if I don't ask for help, it's a guarantee nothing will happen.
