Apparently a comment I left on a video about InZOI a couple weeks ago got like two people incredibly heated that I dare say the game won't do well if it's not properly optimized??? Because most of the audience (of Sims 5/Life Sim) players won't be able to play it?

like buddy, if you are so worried about these poor companies spending so much time money and effort on these games, why be against making them available for the largest audience possible???? gotta be fair and logical, right
(and well, mandatory wanting shorter games with worse graphics etc etc)

They're still arguing btw (not with me but some other person that came into the reply chain). Like, when I made the original comment it I was thinking about Sims 3 with the premier example of a game that wasn't, and still isn't, optimized properly. The Sims 4 has a ton optimization issues too.
Like, these people are really upset about the most milquetoast criticism? of "I hope they optimize the game properly". Acting like gaming companies in the last couple years haven't had MULTIPLE examples of games not optimized properly especially for PC (Stranger of Paradise, Forsaken, Dragon's Dogma II, Cyberpunk 2077) and add on a complex simulation system (a genre that has optimization problems especially in long running sessions) and being worried about optimization is a genuine worry.
Anyways, sorry for ranting on your reply a bit because part of me really wants to reply to these people but also like I know it's a "getting into the mud with the pigs"-kinda situation (they're are other meaner replies just insulting me for being a poor broke with a bad PC) and I'd rather not the headache beyond the occasional annoying YT notification.
