oops deleted my comment instead of updating it. tldr ESDF are the default D-pad keys for PICO-8's second player. you can run P8's keyconfig terminal command to change them.

PooM is so good. I've played through several times, much like I have with doom and it really feels like a proper doom game. It's slightly janky here and there and yeah it's small, but for what it is, it is really well crafted. The second to last map though is quite the maze
