Respawn points in this game are signified by wells; take a drink to fully heal and set your spawn. Kinda strange how they pull the bucket up on their own; or how they can bring you back to life for that matter. Its probably fine.

Being thrusted out of the well via bucket on respawn does sound magically humourous.
