New Defunctland video is good, y'all.
Makes me think a lot about the value of art, art for art's sake, and the legacy of artists. It's sometimes difficult for me to remember that most everything I see, online, on tv, in books, etc. was designed by real people, with lives, families, careers, dreams. People who are good at what they do, or who take immense pride/joy in their work. It's wild, and wonderful, and so terribly invisible, often intentionally so. I don't really know how else to describe it. But the story of the Disney Channel mnemonic feels like a story that I know by heart, and simultaneously have never heard before.
