This 3rd-place game jam experiment has a long history of luring players and developers alike into its simple yet infinite canvas, plaguing them with the need to serve its survival despite one's own health. The afflicted show symptoms such as distressed attempts to quit the game that ultimately fail like a bad addiction, a willingness to pull long workdays in an attempt to solve an issue with its foundation, and a few have even given up their kingdoms to start new ones worshipping this artefact. Coming into possession of its arcane tools may lead your creativity to be funneled directly into serving it for quite some time.
To cleanse oneself of its curse, one must put themself above the artefact. "It is merely a game" is the basic utterance upon which all cleansing rituals rest. Consumers of the artefact's products should go on to decline its promises of greater riches and fame, settling with a sense of self-satisfaction from its middling gains. Those that serve the artefact and wish to break free of its clutches should remind themselves that the game can serve itself just fine, and any further power it gains shall be willed upon it, rather than demanded by it.
Those that insist the artefact's power is waning are doomed by its hands, and its health shall outlive theirs.
