It's makin' me real worried. I have no health care lol if my eye goes, that's it. That's my eye gone.

I got my first one in 2019, and I never went to a doctor so I don't know for SURE it's a corneal abrasion, but it's what I've been calling it. It's a painful cut on my eye that just kinda... appears. I dunno how. I dunno why. But it happened twice since 2019... until the past two months or so, where every few days, it comes back.

Just, a cut on my eye, that makes it painful to close my left eye. Every few days. Often happening in the middle of the night and waking me up.

....Eyepatches are hot at least, right? Just gotta scoop this eye out, I don't need to drive ever again, anyway, right?

This actually sounds like something I have:

Basically the outer layer of the cornea doesn't adhere well to the lower layers, so it's likely to stick to your eyelid and peel. Often has visual issues too kind of like astigmatism. I often had rings around lights, or multiple images of bright things.

As the eye doc described it to me: "not vision threatening, just annoying"
