You know, for all the love of curvy shortstack Goblin girls on the internet (and there is a LOT) I'm honestly stunned I don't see them more often in big name games.

Why are there none in fighting games? Why are there none in MOBAs? Why cant I platform around as a tiny Goblin, stabbing monsters in the butt?

Only indie devs are like "You wanna play a slutty Goblin? I gotchu fam"

GET ON THAT SHIT AAA DEVS

The only "big" game that really comes to mind in regard to "playable shortstack goblin girls" is World of Warcraft, which is very understandably in the "games I would never recommend to anybody despite liking a lot" category.

But yeah, there should be more games with goblins in 'em.

The other major issue is like, there are no Goblin women who are actually important in Warcraft lore. There are a couple who are for like, quest lines, and that's it. There's no actual named Goblin women who are important to any plot, at all.

The closest we get? This Chromie skin from Heroes of the Storm. An AU version of Chromie where she turns into a Goblin instead of a Gnome. And since Chromie is actually canonically trans, this means the only lady Goblin we get, even if it's an AU version of one, is trans. That's cool at least.

There are a few goblin NPCs who come to mind, like Megs Dreadshredder, Newt, Izzy, and Ricket, but yeah, they're all waaay too underutilized to the point that they never get to be prominent which is a shame. I'm still a little bummed that Assistant Greely kind of disappeared, I wanted to see her usurp Hobart Grapplehammer since he had a habit of taking credit for her work.

One day, hopefully.

quick sidenote, i always thought the HotS artists made characters look better even their default models. HotS alexstrasza, for example, is way better than even the recently updated wow one. also this skin rules!

unfortunately, i feel like wow goblins are cut from a very similar cloth as the harry potter ones. i wish blizz would do more to maybe subvert that particular trope. and maybe make some more goblin women far more relevant in the process.

Big name games should just hire me as a Goblin Consultant, my Goblins are beloved and perfect in every little trashy way.

Also yeah, there's this interesting thing with like, big name devs that have a smaller side game with stuff from their main game, and that smaller game has better art design by far? HotS is SO much better than WoW for character design, and the other that comes to mind if Legends of Runeterra. Just look up League of Legends Nidalee VS Legends of Runeterra Nidalee to see what I mean.
