There was a conversation last night about animals with only two limbs. We found the moa, but that's extinct. Probably cause it only had two limbs.
But we DID find one. An extant species with two limbs. The Mexican Mole Lizard, and my god, this thing is adorable. It's like a horrible worm with a snake head and tiny arms. I absolutely love it, it's a monstrosity.
(FTR I then tried to find extant animals with one limb. That's called bivalves, which is less interesting)
moas went extinct because of humans arriving on the island and hunting them all to extinction, which i think hardly can be blamed on their flightlessness
