One of the projects I've wanted to do for a long time is to take all of the Kirby's Adventure ability icons, make them all into perlers, and make a giant painting out of the collage. I finally was like "maybe I should look into doing that, perlers are relaxing during downtime", so I got a script to tell me how much of each color pixel I'll need. Each of these things is like, 33 by 41, that's not too much, ri-

Oh right, math. Multiplication gets outta hand quick. Fucking christ, that's a lot of perler beads

I can order them in 2000 chunks for 2.39 each. With the 25 bags I'll need to complete this project, that's 59.75. Goodness gracious. I forgot how expensive this hobby was, I haven't done perler stuff in like 4 years lol

Oh man, that'll be really cool though! And at least it's only like, 3 colors, so you won't end up with a bunch of extra unused beads because you only needed like, 15 of a particular color. I definitely wouldn't know anything about that... :host-nervous:

Also, WOW that's a much better price for beads than I was getting a couple of years ago. According to my LTTP Perler spreadsheed, I was spending $5.60 for bags of 1000? Are Perler beads more expensive in the Pacific North West? That doesn't seem right...

Were you using minis, or regular sized perlers? The regular sized ones are larger. Also that's from the Perler website, and for some dumb reason, THEY DON'T HAVE ALL THE COLORS. I've found other sites with more colors that list some for like, 3-5 dollars.

Oh, yup, I was using regular-sized. That at least goes a fair way towards the difference in price!

And no, they don't have all their colors online for some reason! It's really weird.
