YOOOOO. Now if there was just a tool to convert from .odt or .docx file format to both of these.
Hello everyone! I'm Lloxie. I'm a furry writer, and I draw occasionally as well. And I dabble in coding now and then. Just a heads up, this IS technically an 18+ blog, even though I also have an AD profile where I post/share most of that kind of stuff. But do expect nsfw material to occasionally show up here as well. You can find links to my profiles elsewhere at the carrd link above, including my personal website if you want to know more about me. Or just feel free to ask me stuff!

You could convert your document to a web page (I think OpenOffice had an option, and if not, Google Docs can) and tweak the converter to run on document node of that - since it works with DOM, it doesn't actually care where the DOM came from.
I wish Open/LibreOffice just had a built-in option or plugins to export to markdown and bbcode directly. :s
Pandoc should be able to do docx to markdown, although how tidy the output is may depend on the particular document.
I tried Pandoc, but for whatever reason, it didn't convert properly. It lost the italics, which was the main thing I needed.
Yeah, that makes sense. It's very hit and miss since there are different ways for information about the same (visually speaking) formatting to be stored in the xml in the docx, so it's harder for Pandoc to reliably "read" that format.
