Don't worry, no real spoilers here! This is pretty general stuff, and I'd appreciate feedback.
I'm hoping to wrap up The Cult of the Crimson Isles sometime within the next week or so. I'd originally planned on it being done over a month ago, if you can believe it! But you know how things go, stuff just kept expanding from my notes. xD But it's spookytiem now! So I need to get to the appropriate episode already dangit! It's going to be a very busy month I think. I have, say... 2 or 3 actual chapters of TCotCI left, plus one potential side-chapter that I'll post somewhat separately from it that'll still take place before the boys move on. And that's if I follow through with it, because I'm still uncertain. (I'll post a poll related to it after this.) And then there's a little aside I SHOULD have posted back ages ago the more I think about it, as it technically takes place probably somewhere around episode 2 or 3.
Once those are out of the way, I'll be barreling right into the spooky episode! (I've changed the name to something less generic, though I'm still deciding on the details; but it takes place largely in a place called the Kryckwood, so that'll probably be part of the name.) It was originally going to be three separate mini-adventures, but with the way things have been going, plus the fact that I'll be starting late, I've decided to move two of them off to be their own things later on, unless the core adventure in Kryckwood somehow goes faster than expected.
On another note, I'm still trying to balance the pacing for the romance aspect of this story. Obviously, Kuna's smitten with Lykou at this point, but not quite ready to admit it- to himself, let alone anyone else. And Lykou, similarly, adores Kuna, though he hasn't yet come to terms with it being anything more than a really close friendship. I worry it's starting to stretch the limits of how long I can drag it out at this point, but unfortunately we're nowhere near the big confession point. Again, I am considering juggling episode orders around, but I'm a little uncertain. Obviously, the spooky episode will be next, and I'd like to at least get the Trials of Devashan episode out of the way before starting down that path, but that's a lengthy one, even by my notes. Then you have to go through Wound Awakens to prep for the big moment. All told, that means it's still potentially at LEAST two dozen chapters away. So yeah, going to have to really think on that.
