Good grief, another week gone by already? How the hell is it already 2/3rds of the way through May?! I've said it many times before and I'll say it again- time needs to slow the heck down!
Yeah so I've been kinda battling writer's block lately, unfortunately. It's quite frustrating, especially because I have plenty of ideas and know where I'm going with MHO. Just... when I sit down to write, my mind becomes static. Sigh. Gonna keep working at it though.
In lieu of writing, I've at least been doing some drawing lately. Got a few things I haven't uploaded yet because they're not quite done, but I'm generally pleased with the progress. I've got some pics of Lykou and Kuna (as they would appear at the current point in the story, as of episode 7) that just need to be colored and shaded. I made alternate versions because I've had trouble deciding on whether they should be plantigrade or digitigrade. I like the latter, and the polls I took on Discord seemed to overwhelmingly favor it as well, but I've realized I need a looooot more practice with digitigrade legs. The digi version of Lykou came out okay (there's my bias for drawing canids showing, hehe), but Kuna's digi form looks all wonky and off. I dunno, I'll just have to practice more I guess.
I also have a new OC I drew- a sentient quadrupedal thing I'm tentatively calling a mutanid. Still pondering the design though. Thinking of naming the specific OC Serif or something like that. Imagine a doberman with three glowing green eyes, a long prehensile tongue, and tentacles on his back. Mutanids also have some telepathic, empathic, and telekenetic powers. I may commission an artist for art involving him and my sona once the design is settled, hehe.
Speaking of which, I actually tentatively have several things I'm preparing to commission from 3 different artists:
- "Space Buddies"; me and my friend @peach-embers (Hi Emi! :3) cuddling and hanging out while stoned.
- My sona in male form, but dressed up in some cute, girly clothing. (specifics still to be determined)
- Possibly some emotes or stickers for Discord.
- One I can't mention here without turning this into a very explicit post and I don't wanna do that. :P
And I still want to get a very special MHO pic, as soon as I find the right artist...
Granted they won't all be at once, as the artists have different queue lengths and such, not to mention I can't exactly go dropping that much money all in one go, but yeah. Expect to see art of my characters by more skilled artists than myself sometime in the coming months, hehe.
