Alright, so we are halfway through the second set of Journals so I wanted to document some changes that are going to be occurring regarding how the Journals and other side things will work going forward based on what I'm seeing from the first 4 Journals.
Effective immediately
- Potpurri Card
- Odds of a Potpurri card being pulled has been changed from 5% to 10%. This may or may not be increased further. A natural one has not occured yet so it might actually be broken based on odd behavior noticed with SAMMI's RNG
- Hazel Town Relief
- There is now the ability to donate $15 to add a game to the Potpurri pool. I've been ruminating on figuring out how to do requests again and I feel this both gives people the opportunity to request games but also gives me flexibility on the obligation of when to do it as the requester should understand that games picked from the Potpurri pool are random and no priority is given to particular games. There is also the following limitations of requests.
- No PC games before 2015 (including microcomputers with a limited allowance of Amiga games I have in my collection)
- Freeware / Emulation only.
- No 3DO / Jaguar / cd-i games. This list may expand in the future
- I have the freedom to deny any request and ask for a different request.
- I also will be thinking of what to do for milestones as I think the special Journals don't fit as well as special episodes did during Retro Rank Rhapsody.

Effective WE 8/19/2023
- Schedule Changes
- The schedule will be changed to the following (for now)
- Sunday - 1PM ET
- Thursday - 7PM ET
- Friday - 1PM ET
- The schedule will be changed to the following (for now)
Effective with upcoming Journals
- Number of Media Per Category
- Instead of having 4 games per category, there will now be 3. This seems to be a sweet spot between diversity of things in the category and me having to not stretch to meet the definition. It also means that Journals will likely be shorter and prevent us from hanging around a particular theme for too long.
- Category Order
- Instead of having the media for the categories be all together, they will now be interspersed to give variety across the board
- Incorporation of Non-Game Media
- I will now be incorporating video content into the media that can come up onto the show. Which is the reason I've been using Media instead of Game.
That's all I have for now. Thanks! :D
