This is going to be another short one to clarify something about the countries that surround Seedbearer and I won’t be so much going into history but some notes about differences in the countries in this universe versus our own. The two countries that border Seedbearer are the United States and Nova Britannia.
- The United States
- Manifest Destiny did not pan out as well as the US would have wanted with the Seedbearer people providing heavy resistance. As such, the US doesn’t have 50 states but instead 30.
- The land that would take the following states is part of Seedbearer territory. Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, North/South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington.
- Hawaii and Alaska don’t have an equivalent but there is one state that is in the Kingdom Prosperity region. I don’t know what it’s called because I literally just thought of this while I was typing. :V
- The Appalachian Mountains are much denser and are less inhabitable and serve a division between the US and Seedbearer. The Rockies also serve that purpose in the west.
- The current president is Nixon. Relationship with Seedbearer is strained but somewhat amiable as both the US and Seedbearer governments are aware that outright hostility would be mutually destructive for both parties.
- Seedbearer has a technological advantage over the US and many technologies ranging from power generation to home comfort are licensed to the US by the government.
- While Seedbearer and the US have only been at war officially once, Seedbearer had intentionally positioned themselves to sabotage US actions.
- Seedbearer absolutely refused to return any slaves that had entered their territory. The army also provided refuge for Lo’chian irregulars who were responsible for several raids on plantations to free slaves and had also helped with raids themselves.
- Currently, Seedbearer also refuses to extradite any member of groups who have aimed to destabilize US order in their attempts to stifle social justice such as the Black Panthers.
- The US and Seedbearer have entered into a mutual agreement to not spy on each other’s cities. Any member of the CIA or other similar agency found in Seedbearer territory justifies the neutralization of an asset of the US and its allies.
- Seedbearer will help the US when it comes to certain crimes however such as serial killers or other grave offenses. They also likely were harsher to bootleggers than even the US was.

- Nova Britannia
- It’s Canada. It’s not called Canada as the word that Canada comes from is the native peoples of Canada who are on the other planet.
- Nova Britannia mostly has similar land that Canada does here.
- Seedbearer and Nova Britannia have better relations than the US does, but not by much.
- The greatest impact Seedbearer had on Nova Britannia is the reforms made in the 240s that helped stop the cultural assimilation and ill-treatment of native peoples. Seedbearer has since set up a system of open and easier immigration to those affected by the policies.
