Benny was born in Valle Bianca and was a math prodigy from a young age. Not only did they have a fondness for mathematics, but also a fondness for teaching and helping others. Their academic prowess led them to gain their doctorate a few years younger than most people. When tensions started to grow in the region about 8 years ago, they decided to immigrate to The Steinwald to escape the oncoming civil war. They now work as a new professor at the university that Radia works at and have become good friends with her and have become one of the members of her Mathemagicians group.

Q+A

Is science or art more essential to humanity?

I don't like this question as it puts two things against each other that don't need to be against each other. Humanity does not benefit from one singular concept it has developed, it is the fact that all these concepts happen at once that together make humanity what it is.

Which language would you like to speak fluently?

There are a number of benefits of learning any language. I guess the most pressing my concerns would be German or Dutch considering the number of mathematics research done in the areas that speak those languages.

Is justice or forgiveness more important?

This question confuses me. Justice and forgiveness can occur at different moments in the chain of events that lead to satisfying a wrong so their comparative importance seems like a non-issue. A desire for justice is honorable, but so is the ability to forgive and not damn one for failures that are mendable.

What's your favorite dessert?

Oh, I do like a nice coffee cream! It's a nice cap to a wonderful meal and it can get you a bit of extra energy to continue having a good night.

If you could be brilliant in one subject, which would you choose?

Well, not to brag, but I'm quite brilliant already in the field I am in, but if I had to choose an additional subject, I'd like to be brilliant in economics as I feel there is too much focus on finance in the field and I'd like to study how people handle their use of time.

What's the most beautiful place you've ever seen?

I'm mostly a city person, but I enjoy spending time at Sapphire Lake Park. I went to go see Revelry at the amphitheater there and seeing all the lights there in the middle of a forest really gave the show a nice energy to it.

What's your favorite fast food meal?

I tend not to like much fast food as I much prefer a more properly prepared meal. If I want something fast, I prefer a deli meat sandwich as there's something about it that feels better to be had on the go. Greasy food tends to just make me feel too lethargic.

What do you dream your life will be like in 10 years?

Well, I hope that I will be able to reach tenure with the university and be able to teach more complex classes. I also imagine that I would move on from my current carefree life of temporary relationships and have someone I can come home to. I've not ruled out a desire for children so that could also be an interesting option.

Which of your personality traits would you like to change?

I tend to be a bit overelaborate when I need to give an answer because I tend to want to make sure of the context of why I'm giving the answer and to make sure the person has full understanding of what they are working on with if they might be confused. I also over answer because sometimes people might have additional questions and I want to be helpful and answer any other questions they might have. ...I did it again, didn't I?

What's your dream job?

Right now I'm in my dream job of being able to teach high-level mathematics so right now my only desire is to advance from Associate Professor to Full Professor.
