Name: Bibli (Given name unknown)
Species: Relic
Age: ??? (Mid-40s/50s)
Occupation: Relic
Place Of Origin: ??? (Likely somewhere in Mexico)

Not known is known about the person that is Bibli. She is a Relic, a spirit bound to an object, which in this case is a copy of the Alexandria Wonder World that has had all it's pages blanked out. She was found in the aftermath of an incident that left what was believed to be a wizard's house in Life's Canopy in ruins by her friend Cass, who also was affected by this incident. The two eventually made their way to Hazel Town as Cass believes that somehow the wizard was tied to The Steinwald and Bibli has since been kept with the Hazel Town Library for her safekeeping and study.

Q+A

Is science or art more essential to humanity?

What's more important to society is not being some sort of jackass who feels like putting all your eggs in one basket is a good idea. Whoever wrote this question is either a fool or someone with no artistic talent.

Which language would you like to speak fluently?

I have any language at my fingertips...well metaphorical fingertips...

Is justice or forgiveness more important?

Justice comes before forgiveness. Make sure that it's pretty clear that wrongs have been done.

What's your favorite dessert?

points to whole being a ghost thing

If you could be brilliant in one subject, which would you choose?

...I have the ability to look up almost anything at any time. I don't have a need to enhance my already peak brilliance.

What's the most beautiful place you've ever seen?

Well, I don't really have a lot of memories of being in actual places, so the only real places I've been are places that we've visited in scrying sessions...

What's your favorite fast food meal?

Whatever leaves the least amount of trash that we have to clean up after our more slovenly guests.

What do you dream your life will be like in 10 years?

Honey, I've possibly been alive for centuries being around places I can barely even remember. If I'm not being used for genocide, I'm probably going to be happy.

Which of your personality traits would you like to change?

Anyone who wants to change how I am can stuff it.

What's your dream job?

This being a Relic thing is great because it exempts me from this whole notion of "I need an occupation to feel satisfaction" nonsense.

Name: Tobias "Thinking Rabbit" Moon
Species: Seedbearer Hare
Age: 28
Occupation: Officer of D-PAS / HomeGuard
Place Of Origin: Steinwald, Seedbearer

After an incident in which he was a hostage as a child was resolved peacefully, Toby was set on becoming a member of the then newly formed D-PAS, a Council replacement for prior local run police forces. Since he was 16, he has been a well-respected member of the organization and has since raised up the ranks to Sergent. Due to a mixup in his training, he also became a member of the HomeGuard when he was put into the wrong training regimen, but was found to have good marksmanship skills as well as good leadership skills. Due to another incident that happened several years ago in which he was investigating a cult that deals with extraplanar beings, he has been designated an expert when dealing with extraplanar events.

Q+A

Is science or art more essential to humanity?

I feel like whoever wrote this question is a bit bitter towards one or the other. Much like a forest is made up of flora and fauna, humanity is made up of humanity's attempts to push itself in multiple disciplines that blend into each other.

Which language would you like to speak fluently?

Probably French since there's we have a large population of people who flee here from Nova Brittania and being able to help them get acclimated would be nice. That and from Heaven's Hearth. On that, knowing French might also help me understand Italian.

Is justice or forgiveness more important?

I don't find that the two are at odds with each other personally. Justice is making wrongs right and sometimes the solution to right a wrong could show someone the errors of their ways and rehabilitate them. A lack of forgiveness can cause them to lapse into wrongdoing again so I'd at least keep it an option.

What's your favorite dessert?

I'm not really a dessert person, but I do like having ice cream every once in a while. There are a whole lot of flavors out there so it's not the same thing every time.

If you could be brilliant in one subject, which would you choose?

I wish I was better at doing math in my head since I'm a bit slow when I need to do mental calculations. Thankfully I have a pocket calculator in my gear for when I need it.

What's the most beautiful place you've ever seen?

There's something about looking up from the watchtower at Sapphire Lake on a winter night with barely anyone around that you can see the stars shining bright that just looks so amazing.

What's your favorite fast food meal?

Whenever I need to go into the city for a meeting, I usually make it a ritual to stop by the Union Station's dining area, grab a thing of chicken strips and fries, pour it all into the bag, and eat that on my way how since it's not super messy and I don't really need sauce.

What do you dream your life will be like in 10 years?

Hmm, hopefully, I'll make at least Lieutenant by then so I'd be heading a few groups from the backlines. Hopefully, I'll be married to Mary by then and maybe we'll have a couple of kids. I don't know, times are turbulent and I mostly dream of peace.

Which of your personality traits would you like to change?

Maybe it's not really a personality trait, but I apparently I'm told that I have a bit too stern of an expression when I'm minding my own business. I think this might make me not be as approachable and I don't want to be the case because that's the exact opposite of what I'm supposed to be.

What's your dream job?

Well, the one I have right now. Maybe I would like a few rank increases for the better benefits, but I think I still have a bit to go before I retire from fieldwork entirely. Maybe one day if I get married and have a family, a more administrative role would be nice, but not for a while.

This'll be a short (and kinda messy) post that list some facts about what I guess technically fits as it's an OC *(Original Country(. Seedbearer is the country that Hazel Town Story / Journal primarily takes place in. It sits between the US and Nova Brittania.

[NOTE: I am not a political scientist or historian. I probably might phrase some things off. This isn't like a lot of stuff set in stone, but just concepts I had imagined for the place]

  • The technical full name is The Territory Under The Guardianship Of The Council Of Seedbearer Nations
  • The basic history of the country is that it was the result of the teachings of a group of religious leaders in around 1550 who wrote what could be considered the first code of law from the Seedbearer Constitution would be crafted from. This council was able to spread its word through alliances and persuasion (read: conquest). The only other major powers that had not consolidated with them on the continent were the Empire of Sun's Bounty (they were seen as equal allies) and the nations of Riverheart (was not logistically feasible to cross the mountains)
  • By the time Europeans were accompanied by Prosperitans to look for places to colonize around 200 years later, they were of equal power to the collected forces of Britian and France. It was voted that they were not to intervene with the colonization of Riverheart at first. When it was realized the atrocities that were brought upon the native peoples of Riverheart, it was declared that no land west of the mountains was to be claimed by the European forces which then was extended to the US
    • When the US decided to Manifest Destiny to the South of the country, it caused a push to spread westward to claim land and prevent the US for closing them off, this race eventually caused the current claims of territory.
  • The political system employed in Seedbearer could be considered communist but is a style not influenced by Marx or any other Capital C Communist thinkers
    • Seedbearer culture does not acknowledge the concept of personal ownership not in the sense that all goods are public, but in the sense that no one owns anything and that at best, things are considered in one's guardianship. While in about 90% of cases this can be legally equivalent to ownership, it does imply that if one is not using something and hoarding it, they may have it taken away. There are also something things that people are forbidden from taking guardianship of like land or people.
    • Depending upon classification, some goods are legally required to be solely distributed by The Council, some have distribution heavily overseen by The Council, and some are open to market forces The following is some examples
      • Only the Council has control of: Food, Housing, Medical Care and Goods, Education, Standard "Needs"
      • Heavily Overseen: Prepared Food, Firearms, Clothing
    • One of the major tenets of the original Seedbearers is that stories and information should be as freely available as possible. This has led to the creation of myriads of libraries that host not just books, but any form of media that can distribute information or can be an artistic media. In modern times, this includes not just libraries of movies, music, and TV shows, but there is a debate about whether software and games should be added.
  • Until the 1940s, there was a standing military that was run by The Council that was sent to help with wars fought by allies and policing was done by locally run police forces. After a number of wars that went terribly and mass corruption and inefficiency of police forces that brought about mass civil unrest, it was decided to disband the standing army and for the Council to take control of policing and how it should be done. A massive rework of the departments of The Council was also done. The Council's activities would be divided into multiple departments including...
    • Department of Personal Assistance and Safety (D-PAS) - The federal department designed to replace police forces across the country. Constables of this department act as paramedics, guides, and mediators for disturbances. It was decided that in order to make sure that could not use their authority improperly they do not have any authority to arrest based on any criminal behavior, they do however have the authority to detain persons for public safety temporarily but this is not of note criminally.
      • Department of Wildlife Assistance and Safety (D-WAS) - It's D-PAS, but for wildlife.
    • Department of Civil and Criminal Investigation - This department consists primarily of detectives who do investigations of incidents involving criminal activity or incidents involving civil liability. They do not have any authority to arrest unless it is granted by the Department of Judicial Interpretation and Application.
    • Department of Judicial Interpretation and Application (D-JIA) - The judicial arm of The Council. They are responsible for handling cases of violation of criminal or civil law.
      • Department of Judicial Adminstration and Modification (D-JAM) - The legislative arm of The Council. Under the arm of the D-JIA, these people are responsible for crafting new laws based on societal feedback. Employment in this Department requires prior employment in D-JIA
    • Department of Public Health (D-PH) - Healthcare is such a tenet of The Council that it is actually part of The Council. Doctors and Animancers are held to the same standards as public officials.
    • The HomeGuard - While the standing army was disbanded, it was decided that a defense force was needed due to tensions with neighbors. Members of any department of The Council can enroll in The HomeGuard. The HomeGuard also acts as Internal Affairs for any sort of corruption within the ranks of The Council. The main forces consist of members of D-PAS, D-WAS, and the D-CCI.

Name: Lyla Moore
Species: Rounded-earred Human
Age: 28
Occupation: Curator of Magical Armaments
Place Of Origin: Dublin, Ireland

Lyla grew up with a fondness for world history and adventures perhaps due to the many stories her adventurous father told her. When it was found that she had magical aptitude, she was enrolled at a university focused on applications of magic in Moonbeacon while also going on travels with her father and family friend Theran who taught her how to use magical weaponry. After the political situation in Dublin started to deteriorate, she immigrated to The Steinwald to begin her work as a weapons curator.

Q+A

Is science or art more essential to humanity?

Science can be art and art can be science. What kind of stupid question is this?

Which language would you like to speak fluently?

Well I have working knowledge of quite a few, but fluently I'd like to speak Bengali to be able to talk to more of my relatives on my mum's in Kolkata.

Is justice or forgiveness more important?

Justice. Sometimes people just aren't worth forgiving if they are too damn stubborn for their own good.

What's your favorite dessert?

It might be a bit basic but I really like a pound cake. Nothing fancy just a completely efficient way to tastefully clog my arteries that goes well with any drink.

If you could be brilliant in one subject, which would you choose?

I mean I'm already pretty damn good at the history needed for my field, so I'd like to maybe get better at the history of some other place that I'm not super familiar with...like where I live for example...

What's the most beautiful place you've ever seen?

Hmm, when I visited the Castle Rock Republic and went to a tower on a mountain that on one side allowed you to see almost completely untouched nature for miles and on the other looking out over the mountain basin that held the metropolis that is the city I was visiting. Proudest on the other hand was when I caused some hooligans to light two blocks on fire after intentionally egging them on after their team lost.

What's your favorite fast food meal?

Thanks to people from Sun's Bounty wanting to do anything Americans do better, there's a place that's kind of like McDonald's but for Sun's Bounty cuisine. They actually know how to do spice properly which is something I miss from home and my mum's cooking.

What do you dream your life will be like in 10 years?

Well hopefully I won't need to move countries again. If I work at the museum, that's fine, provided I'm a little higher up the food chain... If I'm still with Somnia that also would be pretty nice. She's probably one of the best girlfriends I've had.

Which of your personality traits would you like to change?

People say I'm maybe a bit too sarcastic, but maybe people shouldn't say dumb things that leave themselves open for sarcasm.

What's your dream job?

One day I'd like to be the head teacher for a school that teaches the history of uses of magic in war that can combine history with lighting things on fire. Or maybe that could be a museum on its own. EMMA is nice, but I'd like something with a more international flair.
