Im going to a con and so far my dad seems fine with my explaination of "it's like the other con i went to, PAX east" but i worry ill have to explain furries in some capacity eventually

REAL THOUGH. This is such a thing. It's like. You know they're not looking for, and very likely not even open to the vulnerable realities of it, if you got into it many would go "hhaha what? haha" and back off, but also they expect you to give them a satisfactory answer. and its like, oh jeez. Unless you're both close and cool, you'll be getting an oversimplified incredibly broad stroke that's one of those "this is wrong, but we're teaching it like this so you have somewhere to start" type things.
