Gordonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.................. come ON, MAN
You canonically received firearms training as part of the Black Mesa Hazard Course! Why this was part of standard job training for a fucking physicist? Who knows! But SURELY it included the information required for you to not hAVE YOU FINGER ON THE TRIGGER FOR EVERY SINGLE RELOAD WHERE THE TRIGGER IS VISIBLE

DUDE

Also, christ's sake, get a second hand on that USP, hold the damn thing properly, you're gonna hurt your wrist and make it impossible to line up follow-up shots with any kind of speed. At least you're holding the revolver correctly, but you're still not HANDLING IT SAFELY, TAKE YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER WHEN YOU'RE RELOADING!!

ALSO DO NOT FLICK THE CYLINDER SHUT, CLOSE IT WITH YOUR HAND!!!!!
For those that don't know why you shouldn't do the stylish little flick-shut with a revolver cylinder in real life, it's extremely easy for this to not actually fully close and align the cylinder. If you try to fire a revolver when the cylinder isn't properly shut and aligned, best case scenario, it just doesn't fire, because the hammer will strike the firing pin, and the pin will just miss the part of the bullet casing that ignites the gunpowder and fires the slug.
Worst case scenario, however, the bullet isn't lined up with the barrel, but the firing cap of the bullet is aligned with the firing pin, and it catastrophically misfires, causing the bullet to hit the frame of the gun, likely making it basically explode and send shrapnel everywhere.

This is apocalyptically bad trigger discipline and overall gun handling. Somebody should take those away until he can be taught how to operate them safely, it's a miracle he didn't get glock leg in the first game with how magnetized his pointer finger is to the trigger of every firearm he gets ahold of.

(At least he keeps the guns all pointed downrange when reloading, that part's good.)

The esoteric answer is that it’s not firearms training recipient Gordon Freeman with the poor trigger discipline, but the extra-dimensional entity of violence puppeteering his body - and that entity after all demonstrably gives a shit only about sowing chaos and death.
