Hello all, I am Lord Spencer, a huge fan of gaming who likes to blog about it. I also used to be a vociferous reader, but life is getting in the way. Hope you enjoy reading my blogs and giving feedback, because I always try to improve my writing.

I am still under the thrall of Nobunaga's Ambition: Awakening even though I finished one playthrough as Nobunaga. Now, I am playing as the Toukogawa, where I am going to bend history a bit and unify Japan before the Hashiba monkey does so first.

In parallel, I am currently crafting a whole new clan that I will try to unify Japan with the highest difficulty. Creating these characters, I am inventing an entire fictional history for every one of them, including rivalries and love/hate relationships.

Maybe after I unify Japan with the fictional Zaitsu clan, I will be able to let go of the game and drop it for a while (which means dropping if forever if other games in the series are anything to go by), but I am still under the spell of "One more turn" these days.

Check out my latest PS1 Review of Wild Arms 2, an improved sequel to the early PS1 classic, albeit one with an infamously bad localization. Still, it is worth playing today.

Also, check out my blog where I ask Where the Hell is Wild Arms? A retrospective blog where I try to figure out why the Wild Arms series died, and explain why it would be great to have it back.

Finally, check out my weekly updates on the games I am playing now. The information in brackets is how long I have been playing the games and how close they are to the checkpoint that decides whether I continue with them.

-Nobunaga's Ambition: Awakening (Switch): I already updated you regarding the latest news of my conquests above. Right now, Nobunaga is dead, and I think I will need to break my marriage alliance with the Hojo to stop the Tokugawa from being surrounded by allies on all sides.

-Demon's Souls (PS5) [6/6W, Fin]: I finished the game last week, which is the only non-Nobunaga game I played. By the end, I am glad I played and finished the game after my first attempt ended with YLOD. However, I cannot agree with the nostalgia googles that consider it one of the best Soulslike games, although it must have a special designation as the first Soulslike, giving a name to the entire genre. It is thoroughly outclassed by all the Souls games released after it, and that's thanks to the magnificent blueprint it left behind.
