Hello all, I am Lord Spencer, a huge fan of gaming who likes to blog about it. I also used to be a vociferous reader, but life is getting in the way. Hope you enjoy reading my blogs and giving feedback, because I always try to improve my writing.

Here are the games I am currently playing. I am going to review those in bold once completed. The information in brackets is how long I have been playing the games and how close they are to the checkpoint that decides if I continue with them or not.

-Nobunaga's Ambition: Awakening (Switch)
-Galerians (PS1)[2/3W, Pause]
-Luigi's Mansion 3 (Switch)[1/4W, Start]
-Inmost (Switch)[1/1W, Fin]
-Yakuza: Like a Dragon (PS5)[0/5W, Pause]

in reply to @Lord-Spencer's post:

I have had trouble sleeping and waking up for the last two weeks. That has affected my mood, performance, and schedule in nearly every aspect of my life. My gaming time has decreased, my work has suffered, and my gym performance has been abysmal.

It's not as if I had healthy sleep hygiene to begin with, but I am now sleeping more time, but having less quality sleep due to how interrupted it is. I am not sure if this is a temporary situation brought about due to the schedule disruption that Ramadan did for me, or if it is due to some other "hidden" factors.

I know that I have become more irritable in the past few months, and that led to more stress manifesting itself. I was also, and still am, much lazier than usual, wasting too much time doing useless things (like watching YouTube).

Maybe this is burn-out from work, or the creeping of more serious issues. Hopefully, it's just a temporary phase that passes. It happened before and passed, but it also happened before and didn't, way back before I even joined Dtoid.

Check out my latest PS1 Review of Wild Arms 2, an improved sequel to the early PS1 classic, albeit one with an infamously bad localization. Still, it is worth playing today.

Also, check out my blog where I ask Where the Hell is Wild Arms? A retrospective blog where I try to figure out why the Wild Arms series died, and explain why it would be great to have it back.

Finally, check out my weekly updates on the games I am playing now. The information in brackets is how long I have been playing the games and how close they are to the checkpoint that decides whether I continue with them.

-Nobunaga's Ambition: Awakening (Switch): This game is still grabbing the lion's share of my attention. I am currently in my third playthrough, playing as a fictional clan this time. I started in Western Japan as a vassal to the Mori clan, but I am now the most powerful force in the land and I am about to gobble up the Hojo and Usegui clans. This will probably be my last dedicated playthrough the game, and I will hopefully be free of its clutches by the end of next week.

-Galerians (PS1) [2/3W, Pause]: This game is on hold due to my Nobunaga's Ambition addiction.

-Luigi's Mansion 3 (Switch) [1/4W]: I started Luigi's Mansion 3 last week and I am still early in the games. Like with the second installment, there is a zen-like state when vacuuming gold and other objects, as well as a general sense of fun in just walking about the place. It is still early, but I am sure I am going to enjoy this game until the finish line.

-Inmost (Switch) [1/1W, Fin]: This is an almost typical indie puzzle platformer that tells an allegorical story about depression and mental illnesses. It tells the story through a quasi-cryptic fairy tale that jumps across three perspectives. The story starts being a bit too cryptic for its good, but it soon becomes obvious as an allegory about depression and despair. At that moment, it started affecting me deeply. However, the story becomes a bit too melodramatic for me, increasing he misery and terrible circumstances of the characters beyond believability to the point I stopped relating with them. Still, the game is effective and short enough that could ignore that flaw and let the experience flow over me.

-Yakuza: Like a Dragon (PS4/5) [0/5W, Pause]: I should start this game soon once I am done with Nobunaga's Ambition. However, I am worried about how long and bloated this one probably is. Simply, I think that the Yakuza series stories went downhill since Yakuza 0, with every game I played after that one being markedly a lesser game. I read that this one was a refreshing correction of where the franchise was going, and that's what I hope it manages to be for me.

-Upcoming Games in my Backlog in Uncertain Order: Various Games (PS1), Pokemon Sword (Switch), Ori and the Will of the Wisps (Switch), Resident Evil Village (PS5).
