Hello all, I am Lord Spencer, a huge fan of gaming who likes to blog about it. I also used to be a vociferous reader, but life is getting in the way. Hope you enjoy reading my blogs and giving feedback, because I always try to improve my writing.

Here are the games I am currently playing. I am going to review those in bold once completed. The information in brackets is how long I have been playing the games and how close they are to the checkpoint that decides if I continue with them or not.

-Nobunaga's Ambition: Awakening (Switch)
-Galerians (PS1)[2/3W, Pause]
-Luigi's Mansion 3 (Switch)[2/4W, Pause]
-Ori and the Will of the Wisps (Switch)[0/4W, Pause]

A combination of tiredness and an extremely busy working week meant that I had to rely on my Nobunaga's Ambition addiction for my gaming time this week. I am hoping things improve in the next couple of weeks; I don't feel appreciated enough in the job to keep on putting this much effort.

In one way, I feel like I am going into depression, and the collapse of my routines may be a clue that I am already in it. At least, that's what I would think if not for the fact that I am keeping my social and physical routines in check. I still exercise regularly to gain muscle mass at an acceptable rate. Currently, I am trying to reduce the excess weight I gained, so I will be fasting for 6 weeks. Socially, I keep contact with my family and friends at regular intervals.

Ironically, the only routine that has significantly been affected is my gaming/blogging routine, which is usually the last one to go whenever I had bouts of depression in the past. Part of it is that I feel I a wasting so much time whenever I play these days, which is a feeling I actively resisted in the past since I believe "play" to be an essential component of a healthy lifestyle.

Yet, perhaps the stagnation of my professional life is causing me to subconsciously blame my gaming time for it.

I don't know, but I feel like things can improve in the near future, or that's all that I can hope for.

Check out my latest PS1 Review of Wild Arms 2, an improved sequel to the early PS1 classic, albeit one with an infamously bad localization. Still, it is worth playing today.

Also, check out my blog where I ask Where the Hell is Wild Arms? A retrospective blog where I try to figure out why the Wild Arms series died, and explain why it would be great to have it back.

Finally, check out my weekly updates on the games I am playing now. The information in brackets is how long I have been playing the games and how close they are to the checkpoint that decides whether I continue with them.

-Nobunaga's Ambition: Awakening (Switch): As I mentioned above, I could not let go of this game. I am now playing a fictional scenario where all of the game's historical characters duke it out in the same timeline. I added the fictional "Zaitsu" clan to the map in four parts, and it's interesting what happened next.

I am playing as the Date clan in the north, and I divided the "Zaitsu" clan into four clans, each led by one generation leader, and one led by the clan's strongest general. While I expected the clans to perform well, I did not expect the its main leader to basically recreate the actual history of Nobunaga.

Based near Owari, the Second Zaitsu clan made an alliance with the Tokugawa, and proceeded to share Owari and Mino with them. Then, with their Eastern flank secured, both clans expanded Weast and East respectively, with the Second Zaitsu clan eventually conquering the entire capital region.
