"These woods are a perfect hunting ground for dragons"

"How can you tell?"

The strange woman glances at you. There's a glimmer in her eye, a bright, unquenchable ferocity. There's a wildness, a strange strength to her. And yet... a kinship, too, with you. Gazing into those eyes is looking into a mirror.

After studying you for a second, she smirks. Her already casual demeanor softens even further. Like she recognizes you, too.

"Trust me, little spark. I know how dragons think. You'll pick up on it too, soon enough."

Her smile shows an oddly sharp tooth. Just like the ones you've always had...

Dragons are beasts of keen perception.

In the wild, we rely on keen sight, on sensitive hearing, on a keen sense of smell, and on sensing movements and changes in the air around us through our wings - to say nothing of less mundane senses - to find our prey and navigate the world.

... at least, that's what I'm assuming. Not like I've spent much time in the wild. But I'm certainly a dragon, and those senses are certainly keen, especially compared to how they were before.

dragon is home...

inner flame as a hearth to warm you. tough scales to keep you protected. a gentle strength, a powerful resilience. Wrapped up in your own wings...

that's my own personal experience of the past ten months of dragoning about. It's a source of strength. A rock, a center, an anchor, y'know? Something I can hold onto, that inspires me.

Having a more shifty moment is like... coming home after a long day. Finding myself again. No joke, it has genuinely helped me be able to fall asleep easier, sorta. Its comforting...

So yeah. Dragon is home. A girl who always felt denied home, finding one in her own scales, and in her wonderful flock (both her fellow kin, and the other lovely folks on her life)

Its... nice, to come home~
