Finding My Comfy Place

I have thoughts to share, and...perhaps an audience? I'm a hopeful kinda guy. Working on artistic pursuits simultaneously more and less than I should.

You should never adopt with the assumption that you will receive the "ideal" pet - the one who lives up to every fantasy that you have. And that's okay. Animals don't exist to please you, and you shouldn't hold them to super high standards that they don't even realize you hold before giving them a home. I've found some of the best memories from my babies' imperfections, the traits that keep them from meeting the conventional "ideal." Please know that when you adopt an animal, you are taking on a responsibility. Returning an animal to a shelter should only be done after extremely careful consideration in which you have decided that you genuinely cannot take care of them - not because your pet isn't a loving fluff ball 24/7.
