because valentines is probably an appropriate time for it i guess
the jeturk boys were probably some of the more simple gunplas to build, which feels appropriate for guel at least he's a simple lad. i honestly like him more as a character than his mech, like the dilanza is cool and all but i just love the universe's most kicked dog lol.
meanwhile i feel the opposite for the schwarzette. why'd they make it so cool only for it to show up in the very last episode smh
and i'm finally upgrading to gundams from shows i haven't seen. unfortunately i have already heard that gundam seed is hot garbage, but i wanted to try another master grade and i have an affection for designs that are based around A Big Fuck Off Gun, so the buster gundam attracted me. it's a cool robot but it has a lot of parts that feel like, very loosely attached compared to the gwitch mechs i've made? and i have no idea if thats a master grade thing or just an older gunpla thing. every time i try to move it i worry about snapping something off (which also made getting it holding the gun properly much harder like he's not actually holding the second handle in the picture there lol)
i dunno what i'll make next. there's a few more gwitch ones to make, but once those are out i'll have to look into more things from shows i aint watched yet. maybe i'll watched iron blood orphans before buying more gunpla? i've been meaning to check it out since i know a few people who swear by that show.
wasn't as hard as i was thinking but did take longer than the high grades. honestly a non-insignificant part of that was how many parts need the runners cut from under them. definitely had to pull parts out because i only realised i hadn't done that before attatching them a bunch.
i'm also so glad i didn't need to use the stickers because it's always my least favourite part of making these things lol
i bought one of the action bases along with this and honestly it makes me wish the high grades came with the basic little stand the calibarn did. being able to pose them like this really adds a lot and while it's neat how adjustable the action base can be, i only really need the basic one.
me and my partner watched all of the witch from mercury together and it has altered my brain chemistry a little lol. she was already into building gundams so this is a relatively new for me. The Pharact was the first one i made and i'm hooked now.
my favourite is definitely the Calibarn though. it's not the most unique design i know but the colour scheme is clean and the rocket lance/broomstick is rad as hell.
i have a master build aerial i'll be working on next. i'm kinda intimidated by the size of it but i'm excited to see it finished. it's like i'm playing with bionicles again (there's totally a pipeline for bionicle kids to gunpla adults isn't there)
