My personal strategy for finding interesting things to read: keep track of everything that Lotte's reading, and then, having done so, turn the "genre pervert" dial back a quarter turn or so and cross the outliers (like this one) off the list.
Hehe I do have an incredible soft spot for some the most tasty implementations of certain genre trope, for sure for sure
