Due to complications from a bad infection, the vet figured that it was time to let her sleep. She did really well to get this far. First picture is from five and a half years ago when we first got her, the second is her an hour ago having her last treat and pet. She was eating until the very end, which makes me happy. That girl loved to eat. She did good.

So sorry to hear...we had to let one of our's rest recently as well. So hard, even when you can kinda see it coming :|. One thing I did was just remind myself I gave them a good life with many pets and snuggles... Silly as that may sound, it has helped. But, yeah, maybe not for everyone...
On a basic level though: I'm sorry for your lose.
