Posting one of the coolest figures I own, that my partners got for me as a christmas present. I adore this robot design, originally it was Kazuhisa Kondo's take on the Qubeley, before he kinda spun it into its own machine. Since the Qubeley is based on the Elmeth, I think he wanted to emphasize the kinda weird organic design a bit differently than Nagano's still extremely great Qubeley. This design just is a big favorite though, possibly one of my favorite mecha? So getting a figure of it made me super super super happy.
Here are some of Kondo's various illustrations of the design. This initial artwork has it labeled as the Qubeley and lacks the extra legs!
Then we have some of his other art, where he does like, a progression as to why it's the G-3, with the Elmeth being the G-1, a G-2 that is similar to his original Ge Drei art in some elements like the legs, but then also having a toned-down set of shoulder binders, and then the Ge Drei itself, resembling the final form it kinda took in his illustrations.
He also had a really cool old artbook that may have been distributed with garage kits of the design? I've seen them on a few colors of paper, pink, yellow, etc. The cover art is really nice though.
Then finally some cool color art of it with the Zeta.
Anyway I should probably do a tag for my robot rambling, as distinct from my low poly graphics rambling lol.
