Idk how else to phrase this but that shit where someone handwrings about "ooooo this [creator/studio/dev] is going downhill! Theyre out of touch!" the instant they experience something they dont enjoy in a new release or dlc add on or whatever is like, my least favorite way to dance around just saying "i dont like this, its not for me"
Like putting aside matters of taste entirely, sometimes duds just happen and its not a sign that the folks behind it have gone mad up in their ivory towers. Like i feel like we could be a smidge more respectful of our fellow creatives and not assume theyve given up on ever making anything good again just because something didnt land for you.
