i saddly don't have info on my first videos watched or favorited, because at the time i didn't made a youtube account because somehow i thought if i made one, my mom would think i did to watch porn videos on youtube.com, so on my first months or a year maybe, i just used without a account, but just favoriting videos on my orkut page.
I vaguely remember an April fool’s joke referencing All Your Base. And then I got a weird mental complex about watching video and stopped for like 8 years lol
Wow, as late as 2017... I'm old enough that I remember pre-Google YouTube from back in middle school. It was way more IRL than any other site which a lot of people liked but I didn't. Plus, YouTube videos were limited to 10 minutes, but Google Video let you upload any length, which made it way better for watching pirated content. In the end YouTube won because their comment section was way, way better. Before that, it was all Flash animations on Albino Blacksheep and Newgrounds. eBaum's too but it was the iFunny of the mid 00s.
I was aware of it by the very end of the 2000s but didn't care because I was too busy playing warcraft 3. I started watching french starcraft 2 replay casts in 2010 which I believe was the first time I really got into it.
I remember being introduced in about 2007-2008 seeing some then fresh memes and some homemade series'. A reupload of numa numa among my earliest memories.
