Merry Christmas, citizens of Cohost! I come bearing a gift: me talking for 45 minutes about Shadow the Hedgehog (2005). Please share and enjoy!!

I do remember when i was a kid here in Brazil, Anime was aired way more freer.

like in Dragon Ball Z for example, the name of the moves are all in Japanese instead of translating them (catholic and envagelical churches would have field day with the names because they would call it the devil work of course)

I think some characters do have some in english that are not from Earth but I cannot be sure of it.

And also they really would just our versions of "damm" and the ones my family dislike the most "disgraced" which is fucked for a Catholic to hear, like my grandma and mom really use a lot of bad words (some are slurs) but the ones involving that are a no-go (even saying that if people say that a lot, God will kill them in horrible fashion).

So Vegeta would normally be saying a lot of stuff saying that, I think I managed to watch a bit with the volume off without much trouble if I remember it right.

But also, because we had a strong culture exchange with Japan, since the 60s with stuff like National Kid which was a success here for some reason

So back to my children days, i could just watch Love Hina, Tenchi Muyo at 4 to 6 in the evening without much problem actually, I need to confirm it, but I think the brazilian rattings are more lenient towards sexual content compared to violent ones, but I am not sure.

Like on children mornings there was even Simpsons, which is not exactly the most mature stuff around, but looking back, feels strange showing to a show just for kids.

Also, thinking about the "Ultimate Hedgehog" you are best then me to understand the Sonic and Shadows relation to one another, but i felt like that was just to spite Sonic, my mind is to tainted with the fan dubs to actually put too much weight on this interpretation though.

Thanks for the video, i had no idea that the other paths and endings are just not addressed on the true canonical one!

i always thought that game was like really dificult to follow the story or something on that one, but given how it actually goes, sounds a bit more simpler in the overall story, but probably a more dense on character interactions and just khowing what other characters stakes and how they are doing on the story overall?

i Don't have much contact with Sonic growing up with the games, but i did watched two of the cartoons, not the older Sonic says stuff, but the ones dealing with the rebellion and that one with Sonic sibblings.

the one sonic game i played... was Sonic 4 on the Super Nintendo though.
