Silly and charming little mystery game that brings the adventures of everyone’s favorite 2nd-best investigator to a satisfying conclusion. I knew going into this that I was going to have a good time since I really liked the first two entries, but this was the best Frog Detective game and it wasn’t even close. It has some great callbacks, the story takes a couple really fun turns, there are so many fantastic jokes—including multiple very good credits gags—and it’s easily the best piece of family-friendly anti-carceral media I’ve experienced this year (apologies to Wendell & Wild). Also doing sick jumps on your little scooter rules.

I’m going to miss these games; I adore their distinctive sense of humor and there’s just something very endearing to me about the way that the Detective constantly gets conversationally steamrolled because of how nice and polite and awkward he is. People will say just the most absurd things imaginable to him until he gives up on making sense of it or making them see reason and is like “oh. ok. sure,” or someone will ask him to do something for them and never let him get a word in edgewise to refuse, it’s great.

Also, shoutout to this playthrough from Brendan Blaber and some of his friends; Piph’s voice for Mason Mole was just absolutely killing me the entire time:
