Ok, so I was trying to Google this one pun I thought of to see if anyone had ever made the same one before, and it seems like I might actually have been the first person to come up with it:

I actually came up with that 5 months ago during a D&D game, but it was immortalized in our Discord channel devoted to our favorite quotes from our sessions (either in or out of character). There’s honestly some real gems in there:

• “There’s not a hostile bone in my body.” (technically correct statement from my very aggro awakened shrub character)
• “That’s the best any plan of ours has ever gone on purpose.”
• “There are two constants: the plan will go awry and the rolls will be bad.”
• “Our plans went so bad that we overflowed back to Plan A.” (you might be sensing a theme here)
• “RNGesus took the wheel and drove you off a cliff.”
• “Death means nothing to me and you know it.” (that one’s not funny, it’s just cool as hell)
• “Rocs fall; everyone flies.”

The one thing that’s missing is more of my puns; at this point my goal is to make a bad enough one at least once a session that it gets me temporarily kicked from the Discord call by our DM. Once, I rejoined the call and he made some comment that set me up perfectly for a second pun and I instantly got kicked again. Sadly I can’t remember any of them now.
