I'm really not sure what the best way is to go about protecting my work. I don't want to use things like Glaze or Nightshade or whatever 'cause I'm not particularly convinced of their efficacy and its an extra step I don't want to take but what even are my other options?

I don't really want to paywall my work on patreon or kofi or whatever, not just because I don't think my stuff is worth charging for rn; the price would have to be at least somewhat prohibitive in order to discourage would-be plagiarists, otherwise they'll just pay the meager amount required for access, and I don't want that! I think we need more free art!

Maybe make a website? Is that reasonable in this day and age? I could post previews here and full pieces in a controlled environment but, then, would I even have the tools in building a website to prevent people downloading my shit to run through their model?

IDK. Feel free to chime in if you've already thought about this and have methods you trust for dealing with it.
