So, one of my jobs is editing podcasts for a radio station. We used to have a host that was really great at his job. Made my life editing really simple. Well, he left and since there's been usually 2 people alternating as host. Both of them lack the skill that the original host had, at least, the skill to make my editing life easier. They both are really bad at timing. Constantly run over time, start talking way to soon when the intro music plays coming back from a break, often muddles sentences so there's no good point to cut to after a break. They're great at interviewing, and I don't envy their job, but it's just made mine more difficult recently.
Well, jump forward to us getting a third rotating host. He has experience, has his timing down pat, really flows with the show and structures his sentences in a way that it's really easy to cut wherever.
